Educational Policy - Fiscal Cliff

School board educational policies cover a broad range of topics, from academic standards and student conduct to attendance, discipline, and curriculum, all while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

Supporting the current administration to fix the fiscal cliff that was discovered ($39 million dollars was wasted); along with the previous administration approving stadium project change orders without board approval has created a fiscal mess.

The board should scrutinize the previous administration and hold those accountable. CV Taxpayers should demand accountability!

Our Cause is Growing

CV Taxpayers should protect our Seniors and not have to endure School Board Members raising their taxes yearly (Lisa Trainor, Megan Sexton & Mitch Montani), with no accountability creating a cash cow for their friends and supporting failed ideals.

Seniors have a voice! Two teachers on the board push their radical agenda that hurt seniors while another one votes with them. Time for them to GO!

Collier Commissioners Hiding Money?

The current leadership within Collier Township is not being Transparent! They refused to give a dollar for dollar explanation of their imposed Garabge Fee. They have imposed this fee, which they call a 'garbage fee' HOWEVER, the money is not accountable to just refuge/garbage expense. The manager within Collier Township has avoided providing documentation even when confronted at Coffee Hour. What is the Township Manager Hiding?

Many within Collier Township have asked with no reply by the Current Township Commissioners. They must be funneling this money to pay for their pet project at Nike Site!

Declining Test Scores

The Chartiers Valley School District test scores are depressing. Year after year, student test scores have been flat and are currently declining while three current board members defend the employees performance.

Our poor perfomance is in need of a heavy dose of accountability. Its shocking but sadly not surpising, that one board member (Lisa Trainor), who was previously a teacher within Chartiers Valley supports the failing outcomes of our students and does not represent the 30,000+ taxpayers but her self interests. Its time for her to GO!

Raising our Taxes

3 current school board members (Trainor, Sexton & Montani) are trying to get re-elected & one of their friends (Mark Fiorilli) but they have VOTED to raised your taxes every year they have been on the board! SPENDING more MONEY does not equate to higher test scores - Our history shows that!

In 2022 Chartiers Valley's mileage was raised to 19.3957 which was 3.4%. In 2023, the mileage increased again to 20.1909 or 4.1%. And again, in 2024, the three current candidates (Lisa Trainor, Megan Sexton & Mitch Montani) voted against keeping taxes low, only to support a tax raise 3 years in a row!
